District User Activity Log


The User Activity report is a new addition to the District Manager, it is located in the District Manager ‘Reports’ tab. It allows administrators to track user activity across all schools from one central location. The report is updated every minute. 


For now, the report only logs School Manager activity, but in the future it will include activity from other apps.


The report will log the following types of actions:

  • Updates, e.g., edit a badge setting
  • Creations, e.g., add a new badge
  • Removals, e.g., delete a student from the Student list
  • Views, e.g., who viewed an Activity Report.


In addition to the action, logs will also include information about who performed the action, the date / time the action took place, account numbers, and raw data. 


Important Note: The User Activity report will not log actions which had no effect - that is, actions that yield errors and are unsuccessful will not be logged.

By clicking the ‘Details’ link in the far right column, you will be sent to a more detailed view of that log.


Below is a detailed view of an example log:

Clicking the ‘Previous Event Log’ link will display the previous change associated with the same setting:

Clicking ‘Show Log’ will display an event log with the updated value in the context of the raw object data.


Search


You may use the search bar in the top-right, in order to find specific logs. You can search by any column value. It will find fully matched or partially matched text.

You can also export the User Activity report by clicking ‘Export’ in the top-right:
