Badge Return Process
This article provides instructions for returning EVM badges, including how to remove the badge from your site.
When to Return Badges
Badges can be returned for any of the following reasons.
- The badge has a Critical, Replace Immediately status in the Badge Health Report.
- The badge has a Not Seen Recently status despite being on campus (indicating a low battery).
- You are no longer utilizing the EVM platform.
How to Return Badges
The process for returning EVM badges includes contacting Customer Support, removing the badges from your site, and shipping them back. Review the sections below for guidance.
Step 1: Contact Customer Support
Reach out to Customer Support when you are ready to begin the badge return process.
- Email support@centegix.com.
- Note: Customer Support is available from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday.
- In the email to Customer Support, include the following information.
- How many badges you are returning.
- Why the badges are being returned.
- If you need a return label to be provided.
- Any additional relevant information.
- Confirm all information and the next steps with Customer Support, and continue below.
Step 2: Remove the Badge(s) from Your Site in Admin Panel
This step must be completed to ensure the badges are no longer associated with your site.
- Open Admin Panel.
- Select Visitor Badge Health from the left-hand panel.
- Confirm the MAC Address on the back of the badge, then click Remove Badge.
- In the Remove Badge pop-up window, click YES. Then click OK.
- Repeat the steps above for any additional badges being returned.
Step 3: Ship the Badge(s)
- After completing all steps above, package the badge(s) and attach the appropriate label.
- Ship the contents back to CENTEGIX to the provided address.
- Confirm with Customer Support that the badges have been shipped and removed from your site in Admin Panel.
