Resyncing A School (PowerSchool)

There are times when you (or our tech department) want to clear out your students and student contact lists to resync updated lists. Keep in mind that your student and contact lists should always be up to date, and this process is followed when other issues occur.

To do this, we will first unmap the school, observe the lists being deleted, and then remap the school.

  1. Access your PowerSchool app by going to here and logging in with your CENTEGIX account.


  2. Click on Sync.

  3. Click on Stop Syncing.
  4. Verify that the Sync Status changes are stopped before clicking Go Back.
  5. Click on School Mapping.


  6. Find the school you wish to resync click Unmap, and click Yes to confirm.

    By clicking unmap, the school will be unmapped from PowerSchool, and all students and student contacts at that school will be automatically removed. If you wish to confirm this, simply access your School Manager. It may take a few minutes, but all records should be deleted.

  7. Once all students and contacts have been removed, you can remap the school. Back in School Mapping, click Edit to select the PowerSchool school to map to, then select a mapping setting. Click Save when you are done.
  8. Navigate back to the Sync page and click Start Syncing.
  9. After restarting the sync, the Sync Status will change to starting, and new records for the student and student contact lists will be synced to the School Manager.
  10. Once the resync is completed, the Sync Status will change to started.
